Herefordshire Wood White project 2017 Focussed upon the Wigmore Rolls, Croft woods and Haugh Wood, it concerns the conservation and expansion of rare Wood White butterfly populations for which Herefordshire has some of the best woodland habitat. guided walk in Haugh Wood Thursday 11 May 11am-3pm poster here. 23rd to 24th May 2017 Wood Meadows and Pastures two day conference in Sheffield. Herefordshire ancient tree forum is submitting a paper and display on the issues affecting wood pastures, parks, veteran trees in Herefordshire, their status, ecology, means of recording and characterising them and their future. Royal Forestry Society visits to Herefordshire wood in 2017 - 9th June: Batchley Farm woods Bromyard, 15th July: Upper Hall estate Ledbury, 8th September: woodlands of the Caradoc Estate Wye Valley, 20th October: Netherwood and Athelstans Wood Aconbury and Little Birch.
